At Mary Pop'ins, every item is custom-made with care, especially for you and your baby. Because of the personalised nature of our products, our policy is structured to ensure clarity, fairness, and protection for both you and our business.

Custom & Made-to-Order Items

All our products are:

  • Made to order
  • Personalised or custom-designed
  • Produced specifically per customer request

For this reason, we do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for:

  • Change of mind
  • Incorrect choices made by the customer (e.g. size, colour, design, spelling errors)
  • Delays within the stated production timeframe

Consumer Protection (South Africa)

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act:

Custom-made or personalised goods are not eligible for return unless they are:

  • Defective
  • Damaged

Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Items

We will gladly assist if something is not right 🤍

You may qualify for a replacement or refund if:

  • The item is defective
  • The item is damaged upon delivery
  • You received the incorrect product

Requirements:

Once assessed, we will:

  • Repair, replace, or
  • Issue a refund (if necessary)

Items Not Eligible for Return

For hygiene and safety reasons (baby products), we cannot accept returns on:

  • Used items
  • Washed items
  • Items without original condition/packaging

This is to ensure strict baby safety and hygiene standards are maintained.

Production & Delivery Delays

  • Production time: 3–6 weeks
  • This may vary slightly during peak periods

Refunds will not be issued for:

  • Waiting within the stated production timeframe
  • Courier delays outside of our control

Order Cancellations

  • Orders may only be cancelled within 24 hours of payment
  • After this, production begins and materials are allocated

Cancellations after 24 hours are not eligible for a refund

Refund Process (If Approved)

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be processed within 5–10 working days
  • Refunds are made via the original payment method

Important Usage Disclaimer

All Mary Pop'ins products are designed with baby comfort in mind, however:

  • Items such as baby nests, bumpers, and bedding must be used under adult supervision
  • Always follow safe sleep guidelines

Mary Pop'ins will not be held liable for misuse of products.

Colour & Digital Display Disclaimer

At Mary Pop'ins, we take great care to ensure that all product images and designs are displayed as accurately as possible.

However, please note:

Due to differences in:

  • Screen resolutions
  • Device types (phones, tablets, desktops)
  • Monitor settings and brightness
  • Colour profiles and calibration

Colours may appear slightly different in real life compared to what you see on your screen.

Printing Process

Our products are created using professional sublimation printing, which may result in:

  • Slight variations in colour tone
  • Minor differences between fabric types
  • Natural variation between batches

These are normal and not considered defects.

Photography & Styling

  • Product images are styled and professionally photographed
  • Lighting conditions may affect how colours appear
  • Props and backgrounds are for display purposes only

By placing an order with Mary Pop'ins, you acknowledge and accept that:

  • Minor colour variations may occur
  • Colours cannot be guaranteed to match exactly across all devices
  • Our refund policy, return policy and terms and conditions.

Sizing & Measurement Disclaimer

At Mary Pop'ins, many of our products are custom-made to your requested measurements to ensure the perfect fit for your baby and nursery.

To achieve the best result, it is the customer's responsibility to provide accurate and correct measurements when placing an order.

Customer Responsibility

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • All measurements provided are correct and final
  • You have measured carefully and accurately
  • You understand that we produce items exactly according to the sizes submitted

Incorrect Measurements

Mary Pop'ins will not be held responsible for items that do not fit due to:

  • Incorrect measurements provided
  • Estimations instead of exact sizing
  • Measuring errors

As all items are made to order, these will not qualify for refunds, returns, or exchanges.

Size Tolerance

Please allow for a slight variation of:
±1–3 cm

This is due to the handmade nature of our products and is considered normal.

Custom Fit Guidance

If you are unsure about sizing, we strongly recommend contacting us before placing your order.

We are happy to assist with:

  • Measuring guidance
  • Product recommendations
  • Ensuring the best possible fit

Safe Sleep & Usage Disclaimer (VERY IMPORTANT)

All Mary Pop'ins products are designed for comfort and aesthetic purposes.

However:

  • Items such as baby nests, cot bumpers, pillows, and bedding must be used under adult supervision
  • These products are not intended for unsupervised sleep

Always follow safe sleep guidelines:

  • Baby should sleep on a firm, flat surface
  • No loose items in the cot during sleep

Mary Pop'ins will not be held liable for misuse or use outside of recommended guidelines.

Handmade & Product Variation Disclaimer

Each item is handmade and made to order, which means:

  • Slight variations in stitching, shape, or finish may occur
  • Pattern placement may differ from product images
  • No two items are 100% identical

These variations are normal and are part of the uniqueness of handmade products.

Fabric & Wear Disclaimer

Our products are made from high-quality materials, however:

  • Normal wear and tear may occur over time
  • Colour fading may happen with repeated washing or sun exposure
  • Fabric texture may vary slightly between batches

Proper care (as per instructions) will help extend product life.

Courier & Delivery Disclaimer

Once your order has been dispatched:

  • Mary Pop'ins is not responsible for delays caused by courier companies
  • Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed
  • We are not liable for:
    • Lost parcels (once handed to courier)
    • Delays due to strikes, weather, or external factors

We will always assist in tracking and resolving issues where possible.

Order Accuracy Disclaimer

It is the customer's responsibility to ensure:

  • Correct spelling (for personalised items)
  • Correct product selection
  • Correct delivery details

Mary Pop'ins will not be responsible for errors submitted at checkout.
