When Michaela welcomed her first daughter into the world, she did what every new mom does — she searched for the perfect nursery pieces. Beautiful, quality, handcrafted things that felt special enough for her little girl. But she couldn't find them. Not in the way she imagined them.
So she made them herself.
"I couldn't find anything I truly loved, so I picked up the fabric and started creating. What began as something just for my daughter became something I wanted every baby to have."
What started as a labour of love in her own home grew into Mary Popins Baby — a proudly South African brand built on the belief that every baby deserves something beautiful, personal, and made with intention. Today, alongside her mother Sarah, their dedicated seamstresses, and Michelle keeping everything running behind the scenes, Michaela continues to handcraft every piece with the same care she put into that very first creation.
